Identifying the top high salary and value catcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 9 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

J.T. Realmuto, Marlins (4,600): The Marlins’ catcher and leadoff hitter has gone hitless in his last two games. That comes on the heels of a seven-game hitting streak that featured four double-digit DK performances. Which Realmuto will we get on Saturday against Cincinnati Reds lefty John Lamb (1-5, 5.43 ERA)? Expect a strong outing, as Miami has one of Saturday’s highest expected run totals (5.2).

Wilson Ramos, Nationals (4,400): Ramos’ .332 batting average trails only teammate Daniel Murphy (.345) in the National League. He’s in the midst of a breakout season and, realistically, makes for a viable play almost every day. He’s hitting .352 against right-handers this season, so his matchup Saturday with New York Mets righty Logan Verrett (3-5, 4.01 ERA) is ideal.

High Value

Yasmani Grandal, Dodgers (3,400): Grandal had an incredible game on Friday, tallying five hits (including three home runs) and six RBIs en route to a whopping 54 DK points. DFS players shouldn’t expect that kind of production again, but it’s worth noting that Grandal has six home runs over his last six starts. He’s a solid play against San Diego Padres righty Luis Perdomo (3-3, 7.93 ERA).

Sandy Leon, Red Sox (2,000): Leon won’t be able to continue his torrid pace forever, and he might already be cooling off, having tallied just three DK points over his last two games. But come on, any player in the explosive Boston lineup for a minimum price? That’s simply too good to pass up. The Red Sox should do some damage against Tampa Bay lefty Matt Moore (5-5, 4.54 ERA), and Leon offers insanely cheap exposure to that production.
