MLB All-Star Game: All-time team
What would the ultimate MLB All-Star Game lineup look like? Here’s the MLB All-time team that would destroy anyone unfortunate enough to face them.
Forget the 2016-17 Golden State Warriors for a second. Sure, that team, on paper, should vaporize everything and anything that stands in their way. But what if there was an ultimate MLB All-Star game roster? A roster of the best baseball players of all-time that would destroy everything in their path? Don’t fret because that roster is about to be created.
Some quick guidelines need to be set. First of all, positions matter. No, Babe Ruth can’t pitch and hit for himself every game. The lone exception? Designated hitter. Anyone can be one of those, after all. Secondly, this roster is a 25 man roster. Two catchers, a designated hitter, five starting pitchers, seven relief pitchers, four outfielders, and six infielders.
Thirdly, there are no other rules other than the players must have played in the majors. So sadly, Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn is not an option as the closer and Pablo Sanchez from Backyard Baseball isn’t an option.
The manager of this team? Got to go with Joe Torre. This team is going to have so many egos and Torre has proven that he can handle them efficiently. Torre will make sure this ticking time bomb of a team stays together and focused.
