In a league where everybody is trying to build a team that can contend for an NBA Championship, here are the 10 best front offices heading into 2016-17.
With the NBA being a star-driven league where the team with the best collection of players usually comes out on top, it’s easy to argue that the league lacks parity. Though it is a credible argument, one way that teams can overcome a lack of star power or in some cases amplify it is by having an outstanding front office.
The collection of general managers, owners, team presidents, scouts, and coaching staffs can play pivotal roles in how an organization is perceived: does it yield a winning basketball culture or does it not?
While true superstars come around once in every couple of NBA Drafts, where teams can assert their dominance over others is in how they conduct themselves in the war room on draft day and through great free agent signings. Often times, a strong front office can put together a strong enough of a basketball team to hang with even the most star-studded team on the hardwood.
