Cristiano Ronaldo hurt, cries in first half of Euro 2016 Final
By Hunter Cooke
Arguably Portugal’s best player, Cristiano Ronaldo is actually hurt in the first half of the Portugal-France final. He shed some tears.
Cristiano Ronaldo has a reputation as one of the biggest baby-men in the world. He’s the paragon of everything soccer haters despise about the sport — a prolific scorer, conventionally attractive, a past flopper, and definitely theatrical in his responses.
Early in the Euro 2016 Finals, a French player crashed into his knee, and Ronaldo took to the grass within 10 minutes of the match starting. Later, after receiving the magical spray of healing, Ronaldo went down again after very obviously limping, this time in tears.
In the past, you could definitely say that Ronaldo flopped. Now, he’s definitely hurt and needs to come out of the game.
Despite it being bad that he was hurt, a moth flew into Ronaldo’s eye while he was on the ground, and ESPN decided to show it in slow motion.
It’s bad to laugh at a hurt player, but this is funny. Maybe the moth just wanted to kiss away Ronaldo’s tears? What if Pokemon Go is transferring its magic into real life? These are all valid questions that need to be asked.

We’re still scoreless in the Euro 2016 Finals, but likely won’t be for long. The French offense is putting extreme pressure on the Portugese defense, and without their star left winger, the Portugese will have some struggles moving the ball. I hope Ronaldo gets better soon, and he’ll always wonder what would have been in this game.
