NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.
Mike Foltynewicz has never faced the White Sox, but considering the way this series is going, you probably want to avoid this situation. Oh, and Todd Frazier has homered off of him once as a member of the Reds.
Cody Reed has never faced the Marlins, and he has given up 11 runs over eight innings in his last two starts. Of course, those were both against the Cubs, so you can forgive a little bit of that. On the other hand, he gave up five to San Diego on June 24. Stay away from this.

Next: Pitcher Picks

Best Bets:
Carlos Carrasco ($11,600): Carrasco has pitched very well against this current Yankees lineup. They are hitting just .200 against him in 85 at bats with only one homer, four runs, and an impressive 22 strikeouts. Carrasco has bordered on dominant this season. Expect it to continue heading into the break.
Steven Matz ($8,400): Matz was brilliant against the Nationals in his only career start against them back on May 25. He gave up just four hits and a walk in eight scoreless innings while striking out seven. Yes, it is a small sample size, but it’s hard to ignore something this recent.
Honorable Mention:
A.J. Griffin ($7,000): This is a very small sample size, but the current Twins are just 3-20(.150) with one run and three strikeouts against Griffin. Eduardo Nunez drove in the run, but he is 0-5 lifetime against Griffin. Buyer beware though. Joe Mauer is 2-3, and the Twins are taking the Rangers behind the woodshed this month, as hard as that may be to believe.
Chris Tillman ($6,000): The Angels have hit .287 against Tillman in 94 at bats, but they have only one homer and five runs scored. That homer and two of the RBI were provided by Geovany Soto, who is on the DL. The 18 strikeouts are promising, and Mike Trout is just 1-6 with a single and three walks. His start against Lincecum is also a promising sign. Tillman could end up being a steal.
Dark Horses:
Tom Koehler ($4,700): The current Reds roster has only faced Koehler 13 times, but they have just one hit, a single by Devin Mesoraco who is currently on the disabled list. Only three of those 13 struck out, but if you have someone who can get outs at this price, you don’t complain.
Anibal Sanchez ($4,400): Believe it or not, Anibal has pitched well against the Blue Jays. The Jays are only hitting .219 against him in 128 at bats with only two homers and 11 RBI to go with the 31 strikeouts. Sanchez was exiled to the bullpen earlier this year, and his ERA is still ugly at 6.52, but if you are looking to gamble, this could be the place.
Mike Montgomery ($4,000): The Royals are hitting just .207 off of Montgomery in 29 at bats with no extra base hits, no runs, and nine strikeouts. Don’t look for Montgomery to go deep into the game, but with a tilt set up against Dillon Gee, who was already exiled to the minors and then the bullpen this year, Montgomery could perform very well for his price.
Next: Who Are The Best Stacks?

You have heard our FanDuel experts Matt Rogers and Brian Tulloch talk about “stacking” pieces of a lineup against certain pitchers. Here are the stacks that could work well on DraftKings today, based on past statistics.
You may want to consider a Tigers stack against R.A. Dickey. Miguel Cabrera ($4,100) is only 8-30(.267) against Dickey, but he has two walks, a double, and two solo homers. Ian Kinsler ($4,600) is 8-21(.381) with two walks, three homers, and six RBI against Dickey. Justin Upton ($3,400) is only 2-14, but he has a double, a homer, and two RBI.
James Shields has righted the ship, giving up six runs over his last three starts, but I wouldn’t use him against the Braves. The current Braves roster has nine homers and 24 runs against him! Erick Aybar ($2,700) is only 5-19(.263), but he has two homers and three RBI. Gordon Beckham ($3,100) is 10-36(.278) with two walks, three doubles, and two solo homers against Shields. Ender Inciarte ($3,600) is 4-7 with a walk, two homers, and three RBI. Nick Markakis ($4,100) is 23-77(299) with 11 walks, five doubles, two homers, and nine RBI against Shields.
You need to stack against Jon Niese. Kris Bryant ($5,200) is 5-10 with two walks, a homer, and three RBI against Niese. Jason Heyward ($3,600) is 9-31(.290) with two walks, two doubles, two homers, and eight RBI against the fellow lefty. Matt Szczur ($3,500) is 3-6 with two doubles and two RBI against Niese. Anthony Rizzo ($4,900) is only 5-22(.227) off Niese, but he has two walks, three doubles, a homer, and three RBI.
The Brewers are hitting .343 in 108 at bats against Mike Leake. You know there are some stack options here! Scooter Gennett ($3,700) is 7-22(.318) with a walk, two doubles, and three RBI against Leake. Jonathan Lucroy ($4,700) is 17-35(.486) with three walks, three doubles, two homers and seven RBI. Ryan Braun ($4,500) is only 5-22(.227), but he has two walks, two doubles, a homer, and four RBI against Leake.
John Lackey has come back down to earth recently, and now he gets a Pirate team that is hitting .323 against him. John Jaso ($3,000) is 6-18 with a walk, a homer, and four RBI. Matt Joyce ($3,300) is 10-27(.370) with four walks, two homers, and seven RBI against Lackey. Gregory Polanco ($4,200) is 6-10 with a pair of walks against Lackey, but has no counting stats.
Juan Lagares ($3,400) is 13-32(.406) with a walk, three doubles, a triple, a homer and four RBI against Gonzalez. Neil Walker ($2,900) is 3-11 with a walk and a solo homer against Gonzalez. Curtis Granderson ($3,500) is only 5-35(.143), but he has a walk, a double, a homer, and two RBI. If he does manage to hit the ball, he hits it fairly hard against Gio. At least he doesn’t have to face Yoenis Cespedes and David Wright. They have both hit Gonzalez hard.
Tommy Milone is very familiar with the Rangers from his days in the AL West. In this case, that is not a good thing. Elvis Andrus ($4,200) is 10-27(.370) with a walk, two doubles, a homer, and three RBI against Milone. Adrian Beltre ($4,000) is 9-19(.474) with a walk, two homers, and five RBI. Prince Fielder ($3,100) is 4-12 with two walks, a double, and three RBI. At least Milone wont have to face Josh Hamilton. Hamilton is 10-23 with two homers and six RBI off of him.
Next: More Notes For 7-10

The Rays don’t have a great average against David Price (.253 in 146 at bats), but they have seven homers and 27 RBI. That is a lot off of an ace. Curt Casali ($2,400) is 6-11 with a double, three homers and five RBI against Price. Brandon Guyer ($3,600) is 4-13 with a double, a triple, a homer, and three driven in. The good news is that two of those homers and five of the RBI are on the DL (Steve Pearce and Kevin Kiermaier).
Mike Napoli ($3,600) is 5-8 with three walks, three doubles, and two solo home runs against Masahiro Tanaka. Not many have figured out Tanaka. Napoli has.
Mark Trumbo ($5,300) is 3-8 with a double, a homer, and two RBI against Tim Lincecum.
Edwin Encarnacion ($5,300) and Troy Tulowitzki ($4,800) have both hit home runs against Anibal Sanchez, but neither of them have hit him well (.250 and .200 respectively).
Xander Bogaerts ($4,600) is 7-16(.438) with three walks, three doubles, a triple, and two RBI against Jake Odorizzi. No other Red Sox players have really hit him well, but Bogaerts looks like he is worth a look.
Evan Gattis ($3,200) is 2-3 with a homer and two RBI against Sean Manaea from their meeting earlier this season. Can he do it again?
Robinson Cano ($5,100) is 4-9 with a walk, a triple,a homer, and three RBI against Dillon Gee. Just be aware that Cano may not face Gee more than twice since he has been working in long relief since June 11th. The good news is that Cano is a career .295 hitter against current Royals pitchers.
Brett Gardner ($2,900) is 4-13(.308) with four walks, a double, and two RBI. Carlos Beltran ($3,300) is only 2-8, but those two hits are a double and a solo homer.
Danny Valencia ($3,400) is 7-12(.583) with a walk, two doubles, two homers, and four RBI against Dallas Keuchel. Jed Lowrie ($3,500) is 8-23(.348) with two doubles and three RBI. Marcus Semien ($4,100) is 5-12, but has no counting stats.
