Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook recently got schooled by a seventh grader who drained an impressive shot over the All-Star.

It’s usually All-Star guard Russell Westbrook who’s the one schooling opposing players, but on a recent occasion, he found himself on the other end of a highlight shot, drained by a seventh grader.

That’s right, a kid from Westbrook’s own summer camp was able to hit an ESPN SportsCenter type shot just when it mattered most.

As seen in the video above, Kyle, one of Westbrook’s young students at the summer camp, was given the ball on game point. Westbrook was relaxed on defense and probably expecting the kid to attempt some sort of fancy drive. Instead, in Steph Curry fashion, the youngster quickly heaved the ball up since Westbrook was giving him a good amount of space. Kyle’s shot connected, leaving Westbrook stunned.

Whether or not it had the same effect as his former teammate Kevin Durant leaving the team for the Warriors is another story.

However, one would have to think if Kyle continues to learn other essential skills from Westbrook and keeps hitting long distance shots like that, he just may have a future in the league one day.
