The University of Florida took a shot at their rivals, FSU, by bringing up the infamous crab legs incident involving Jameis Winston will talking Pokemon.

When it comes to college football rivalries, one of the younger ones that has developed the most venom is the one between the Florida Gators and the Florida State Seminoles. Every year but once since 1979, the teams have met at the end of the season in a rivalry that, for much of the 1990’s and early 2000’s, had national title implications.

When each team has an off-field issue that creeps up, the other school is there to pounce within moments and clown their foes to no end. For the last two years, Gator supporters have been going all in on the ‘Noles and an infamous order of seafood.

It was April 2014 when former FSU quarterback Jameis Winston took an order of crab legs from a supermarket in Tallahassee. Well, Florida was able to use it in response to the latest game craze, Pokemon Go.

Here was the originally tweet:

Here was the UF jab at Jameis and the ‘Noles:

You can be willing to bet that the Gators and their fans are not going to let the ‘Noles forget about this one for a while. Of course, when you’ve beaten your rivals just one in the last six tries, I guess you have to say whatever to make yourself feel better about he situation – especially when you’ve scored a combined 16 points against FSU in the last three meetings in Gainesville.
