The top 5 moments of Tim Duncan’s career

2. Duncan’s second title in 2003
After finally defeating the seemingly unstoppable Los Angeles Lakers in the semis, it looked as if Duncan and the Spurs were ready to go all the way. In the 2003 Western Conference Finals, the Spurs faced Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks.
Duncan helped the Spurs defeat the Mavericks in six games. The victory sent Duncan to his second Finals in five years. This time, he faced Jason Kidd’s New Jersey Nets.
The Nets were in the midst of a great postseason run of their own after sweeping the Boston Celtics and the Detroit Pistons in the second and third rounds, respectively.
With David Robinson not the same player as he was in their previous championship run 1999, Duncan took on a larger role this time around, leading the Spurs over the Nets in six games. Duncan dominated throughout the 2003 Finals, almost recording a quadruple-double in the final game, scoring 21 points and adding 20 rebounds, 10 assists and 8 blocks. Duncan also won his second Finals MVP.
