In a little headline mishap on their news site, the WWE might have given away their pick for GM of SmackDown.
When the final bell of WWE Raw rang out, Vince McMahon announced that the commissioner of SmackDown would be his son, Shane. His daughter, Stephanie, would not be without title either, as she would control Raw.
As far as the WWE goes, this wasn’t a very surprising move. After the picks, McMahon told his children to pick a GM for the upcoming competitions, and that he wants them to compete against each other for the keys to the kingdom. McMahon wants some serious fireworks from the person that he will eventually hand the company over to, and what better way to decide that than with some friendly competition?
When the WWE announced the pick, they might have tipped their hands by forgetting to change a title. Fans almost immediately posted the mistake to Twitter.
@solomonster I think they just spoiled the Smackdown GM with this @WWE post I just saw. pic.twitter.com/ylgDrVAIkH

It would indicate that fan favorite Daniel Bryan will be the GM for Shane’s SmackDown card, and losing the building intrigue behind the picks would be a huge blow to Shane. SmackDown hasn’t been producing as well as Raw has recently, so this small ploy to snag a couple more eyeballs on Thursday’s SmackDown might fall a little flat with this mishap.
With the GM for SmackDown potentially revealed, which way would could Stephanie and Raw turn? If any previous WWE events are any indication, we have no dang clue what will happen in the coming weeks.
