Kris Bryant hits first inning home run off Chris Sale in MLB All-Star Game (Video)

Check out Kris Bryant’s impressive first inning home run in the MLB All-Star Game.

Chicago Cubs slugger is the National League leader with 25 home runs on the season, and it did not take him long to make a significant impact on the 2016 MLB All-Star Game.

After Bryant’s teammate Ben Zobrist led off the game with a quick flyout to left, Washington Nationals superstar Bryce Harper quickly grounded out to second base. Bryant then stepped to the plate with American League starter Chris Sale only having thrown three pitches.

The Cubs’ star wasted no time making a huge impact on the game, taking Sale’s first pitch to him into the left field seat at Petco Park.

Bryant’s impressive home run gave the National League the early 1-0 lead.

Bryant is undoubtedly one of the best young players in all of baseball, and he is showing it off on a national stage. This game is important to Bryant and the Cubs, as they are clearly one of the favorites to represent the National League in the World Series later this year.

If the National League can go on to win this game, the Cubs (or whoever represents the league in the World Series) will have home field advantage when it matters most.

We are a long ways away from having to worry about that, but Bryant got the Cubs and the National League off to a great start tonight. Bryant is undoubtedly the early favorite for the MLB All-Star Game MVP.
