The Rockies will be selling for yet another season

The Rockies have not had a winning season since 2010 and have not made the playoffs since 2009. It has been a tough go recently in Colorado, and the Rockies have been selling for the past five years.

Unfortunately they have not really hit on any prospects yet. It is starting to feel a bit like rinse and repeat. The Rockies will get another chance to find young talent this summer, and this year they have a pretty big piece to potentially sell off.

Carlos Gonzalez seems to be one of the biggest names on the trade market this season. He is an All-Star and is in the home run derby this year. For a playoff team to acquire Gonzalez would be a major swinging of the powers.

That said, the Rockies cannot miss on this one. They have some young pitchers with talent and pedigree, something that has not been in the system for a very long time. They also have the emergence of Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado as great major league hitters. If they can keep this young core in tact and find ways to add in talent and upside they are not far away from competing. They just have to make sure to sell the right players and to sell them for the right price.

With that said, here are five trades the Rockies should make
