Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell has apologized for his offensive Instagram post and will donate a game check to a Dallas police charity.

Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell caused a bit of a commotion after posting a picture on Instagram that included a masked man slitting the throat of a police officer. After Cleveland police reportedly threatened to boycott Browns’ home games, Crowell issued an apology on his Facebook page.

Crowell issued an apology earlier, but many believed that it wasn’t sincere. In addition to his apology, Crowell said that he would donate his first game check to the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation. It’s obvious that Crowell made a terrible mistake in posting that picture on Instagram, but it seems that he is very sincere in his apology. He’s doing a wonderful thing in donating to the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation, which was formed in 2009 to help families of officers critically injured or killed in the line of duty.

The Browns running back rushed for 706 yards and had 182 receiving yards in his second NFL season. He scored five total touchdowns, including four rushing touchdowns. Crowell has 1,313 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, and 13 touchdowns overall in his 32 game career. He was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
