Here is an updated list of the most valuable teams in the NFL as of 2016, according to Forbes.
It’s important to remember that, to NFL owners, sports teams are more than just teams. They are businesses. There’s a very good reason for that. Owners view teams as a way to make a lot of money, and for the most part, teams tend to do exactly that.
Football is the most lucrative of the major professional sports leagues. Owners get to keep far more money than the players, though fans can expect the players to try their hardest to change that as soon as the current collective bargaining agreement runs out.
The Dallas Cowboys are thought of as “America’s Team.” Whether you like them or hate them, they are the most valuable team in football. Having a villain is a good thing and the Cowboys are happy to oblige. More importantly, the NFL is very happy that the Cowboys are still relevant as well because they have consistently been among its most valuable franchises.
