The final day of 2016 SEC Media Days will be a real treat for diehard SEC fans. Here’s how to watch all things LSU, Ole Miss, and South Carolina online.
The last day of 2016 SEC Media Days may only have three teams for media availability, but this could be the best day of the bunch with the final three teams of the LSU Tigers, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the South Carolina Gamecocks taking their turn answering tough questions.
Now that Steve Spurrier isn’t coaching at South Carolina anymore, the torch has been past to LSU’s Les Miles for most entertaining coach at SEC Media Days. Miles has, can, and will say just about anything in front of a microphone. Joining Miles in Hoover will be junior running back and Heisman hopeful Leonard Fournette, senior center Ethan Pocic, and senior defensive back Tre’Davious White. LSU went 9-3 (5-3) en route to finishing fourth in the SEC West in 2015. If Fournette emerges as a Heisman frontrunner, LSU could be in for a very special 2016.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze might have himself the toughest questions thrown his way during SEC Media Days. Though Laremy Tunsil has left for the NFL, Ole Miss has come under fire with regards to his recruitment and the overall state of the football program. Regardless, Ole Miss will field a championship caliber football team in 2016. Representing the Rebels in Hoover will be senior tight end Evan Ingram, senior defensive tackle D.J. Jones, and senior quarterback/Heisman hopeful Chad Kelly. Ole Miss went 10-3 (6-2) and finished in second place in the SEC West. Can the Rebels make it to their first SEC Championship Game in 2016?
Though Spurrier will be sorely missed after he retired mid-season in 2015, the Gamecocks have brought in a familiar face to lead their struggling football team in former Florida head coach Will Muschamp. Muschamp spent a year as Gus Malzahn’s defensive coordinator at Auburn in 2015, but will take over the SEC’s worst team in 2015 in South Carolina. The Gamecocks went 3-9 (1-7), but will Muschamp be enough to get South Carolina back to a bowl in 2016?
