Running back Karlos Williams of the Buffalo Bills will be facing a four game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, according to Sal Cappaccio of WGR 550.
The Buffalo Bills were expecting for second year running back Karlos Williams to take a huge step forward in 2016 after a solid rookie campaign in 2015. According to Sal Capaccio of WGR 550, his season will have to wait as he has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Buffalo released a statement on NFL.com about Williams and his suspension.
"As an organization, we are disappointed that Karlos has put himself in this situation. Poor decisions such as this affect not only the individual, but the entire Bills organization. We will continue to work with Karlos through the various player programs we provide to assist him in making better decisions moving forward."
It remains to be seen what Williams tested positive for, but his loss is a big one for the Bills. Williams had 517 rushing yards on just 93 carries in 11 games. He averaged 5.6 yards per carry with seven rushing touchdowns on the season. Williams also had 96 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in 2015. He was expected to be a huge part of their backfield in 2016.
Williams’ offseason troubles began when he reported to the Bills overweight and out of shape. He was drafted in the fifth round (155th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida State. Without Williams, the Bills backfield is a bit thin as far as depth.
