David Ortiz has an interesting retirement plan in the latest SportsCenter commercial that features him

The second half of the Major League Baseball season is underway with the All-Star break out of the way now, meaning that there are only a handful of games that Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz has to play. Prior to the season beginning, Ortiz noted that he would be making his way out of professional baseball.

As he makes his way out, of course he’ll be making a lot of special appearances, especially in commercials. The latest commercial that he takes part in is one of the infamous SportsCenter commercials, and in this one, he has a pretty odd and hilarious way of dealing with his impending retirement.

"“Papi gonna be rich.”David Ortiz has some retirement plans in the latest @SportsCenter spot:https://t.co/ibcu7Pw8R7— ESPN (@espn) July 15, 2016"

Okay, everyone, love Ortiz or hate him, has to admit that the “Papi gon’ be rich” line was just downright hilarious. He seems like he’s literally losing his mind and the look of sheer concern on the face of David Price was –sigh–  priceless.

But who knows, maybe he’ll be the one that gets the last laugh if he gets “Papisicles” off the ground and running.
