Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 15 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Mookie Betts, Red Sox (5,100): Betts entered the All-Star break on a sizzling run and he should pick up right where he left off. Betts enters play Friday on an 11-game hitting streak, and now draws a matchup with New York Yankees right-hander Michael Pineda (3-8, 5.38 ERA). In his career, Betts is 5-for-17 with two doubles and two home runs against Pineda.

Giancarlo Stanton, Marlins (4,900): Stanton put on all-time great performance at this year’s Home Run Derby, mashing a record 61 homers at Petco Park. Stanton was already heating up down the stretch of the first half, hitting five home runs over his last five games entering the All-Star break. He’s 2-for-4 with a home run against St. Louis Cardinals lefty Jaime Garcia and has a .609 slugging percentage against lefties this season.

High Value

Carlos Gonzalez, Rockies (3,500): This is a bargain that’s just too good to pass up. True, “CarGo” has been more effective at home this season (.360, 14 HRs) than on the road (.279, five HRs), but he’s dominated right-handed pitching at all venues. Gonzalez is hitting .345 against righties this season. For added incentive, he’s 4-for-8 with a home run in his career against Atlanta Braves starter Lucas Harrell (1-0, 1.32 ERA).

Rickie Weeks, Diamondbacks (3,100): Weeks can only be recommended for GPP lineups, but if he gets the start Friday at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he’s an ideal cheap punt play. Weeks is 5-for-16 with three doubles and a home run in his career against Bud Norris (4-7, 3.98 ERA). Weeks gets a significant boost at Chase Field, and has the potential to return major value.
