Identifying the top high salary and value pitcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 15 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Stephen Strasburg, Nationals (12,000): Strasburg’s sparkling win-loss record (12-0) is well-documented, but his recent run has been equally impressive from a fantasy perspective. Strasburg has tallied at least 22 DK points and five strikeouts in each of his last five starts. A home matchup with Pittsburgh isn’t the easiest, but Strasburg has simply been one of baseball’s best pitchers this season.

Madison Bumgarner, Giants (11,100): Bumgarner is coming off a 14-strikeout, one-hit shutout of the Arizona Diamondbacks in his last start, so it’s actually surprising to see him priced third on Friday’s slate, behind Carlos Carrasco and Strasburg. Bumgarner has topped 20 DK points in four of his last six starts, and should be a solid play Friday on the road against the San Diego Padres.

High Value

Marcus Stroman, Blue Jays (7,500): It’s been an up-and-down season for the 25-year-old Stroman (7-4, 4.89 ERA), but if his recent starts are any indication, he’s headed in the right direction. Stroman has topped 20 DK points in his last two starts (27.60, 21.40) while striking out six batters in both of them. He’s also a good bet to earn the win Friday against the Oakland Athletics.

Patrick Corbin, Diamondbacks (4,000): Corbin, like virtually all of Arizona’s starters outside of Zack Greinke, has struggled to find consistency this season. He’s failed to top 20 DK points in his last six starts, yet it’s still surprising to see his price drop this low. He’s nothing more than a GPP punt play, but at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he’s worth a long look.
