Identifying the top high salary and value second baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 16 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Robinson Cano, Mariners (5,300): Cano might not have had the greatest showing in Monday’s Home Run Derby, but he could be in line for a strong outing Saturday against Houston Astros right-hander Lance McCullers (4-3, 3.79 ERA). Cano is hitting .326 with 17 of his 21 home runs against righties this season. He’s also 5-for-11 in his career against McCullers. Cano is one of Saturday’s top plays.

Jason Kipnis, Indians (5,000): The lefty-hitting Kipnis is typically a solid play against right-handed pitchers. That’s certainly the case Saturday when the Indians face Minnesota Twins righty Tyler Duffy (5-6, 5.20 ERA). Kipnis is hitting 50 points higher against righties than he is against lefties. Cleveland also has one of the highest expected run totals (4.9) on Saturday’s slate.

High Value

Chase Utley, Dodgers (3,600): At this stage in his career, the 37-year-old Utley is only a viable play against right-handed pitchers. That makes him worth a look Saturday on the road against Arizona Diamondbacks righty Archie Bradley (3-5, 4.64 ERA). Utley’s average against righties is nice (.276), as is the Dodgers’ expected run total (5.1). Utley is a decent value play.

Sean Rodriguez, Pirates (3,400): Rodriguez has homered in three straight games and his last four starts overall. That’s an incredible run for a light-hitting infielder with a career slugging percentage of .384. While the homer streak may end Saturday against Washington Nationals Tanner Roark (8-5, 3.01 ERA), Rodriguez could still remain productive. He’s worth a look at this reasonable price.
