High Salary OF

Giancarlo Stanton-Miami Marlins (3,700): Stanton went 2-3 with a double, walk, RBI, and run scored in his first game after the All Star break and had over 20 fantasy points for the second game in a row and the fourth time in his last six contests.  Stanton seems to have shaken off his early season struggles and is 13-37 (.351) in July with five homers and 11 RBI.  Stanton is 0-4 in his career against Adam Wainwright, but I still think he makes a great play tonight in St. Louis.

Marcelo Ozuna-Miami Marlins (3,500): The Marlins “other” young hitting machine Marcell Ozuna also had a nice game last night going 2-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI on his way to 22.4 fantasy points. He started July a little slow, but he’s still hitting .308 with 17 homers and a .894 OPS.  He hasn’t faced Adam Wainwright before in his career and does his best work against lefties (Wainwright is a righty), but he’s still a good play just not as strong as he was yesterday against Jaime Garcia.

Jay Bruce-Cincinnati Reds (3,400): Bruce’s price is reduced since he has struggled early in July. He is just 7-37 (.189) this month but he has started hitting more lately going 4-10 in his last three games with a pair of walks and a pair of doubles.  He has always mashed against Jimmy Nelson who he’ll face tonight.  He comes in 8-19 with three doubles, three homers, and a crazy 1.529 OPS against Nelson, so he definitely has big upside in this matchup despite his less-than-great current form.

Yasiel Puig-Los Angeles Dodgers (3,300):  Puig ripped three singles last night and drove in three runs to bring his total for the season to 31.  He has picked his average up to .262 on the season with a 11-35 (.314) start to the month and has been especially lethal against the D-Backs.  Against Arizona, Puig is 8-17 (.471) this year. He hasn’t faced tonight’s starter Archie Bradley, but he is still a solid play from the middle of the Dodgers lineup.
