10. Cornerbacks

There were a ton of quality players at the cornerback position who could have been considered here. Josh Norman, Chris Harris Jr. and Darrelle Revis would all certainly make sense, but I decided to go with a pair of elite NFC West corners.

Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks

A long, athletic and aggressive player at the cornerback position, Richard Sherman is probably the closest thing we have to a lock-down cornerback in the NFL right now. Sherman is an incredible cover corner who can consistently take away an opposing team’s best option in the passing game.

Sherman undoubtedly has elite-level skills for the position, but he also shows great awareness and natural instincts on the football field. On top of that, there is not a more confident individual in the entire game.

Richard Sherman is one of the best, and deserves a starting spot on this team.

Patrick Peterson, Arizona Cardinals

Lining up opposite of Sherman for Team USA is Patrick Peterson. Peterson is not quite the shut-down corner of a guy like Sherman, but he has grown into an incredible player in recent years.

Peterson is an elite-level athlete and shows better ball skills than a guy like Sherman. He is a big-time play-maker who is not afraid to go up and make the big play. On top of that, he has become an incredible cover corner in recent years, showing fantastic natural ability.

Peterson is undoubtedly one of the best in the NFL and could make a huge impact for Team USA in a variety of ways.
