2. Quarterback: Tom Brady

The player to lead Team USA at the quarterback position comes down to three extremely deserving candidates. Reigning league MVP Cam Newton and his overall play-making skills should undoubtedly be considered, as should the great Aaron Rodgers.

That being said, on this team full of play-makers, a strong and stable veteran like Tom Brady makes the most sense to me.

At this point in his career, Brady is not as physically talented as somebody like Newton or Rodgers, but he is a the perfect guy to lead this team and to keep everybody in check. Also, Brady is still a fantastic performer at the quarterback position.

While he does not have top-notch running ability, Brady is an extremely accurate passer who has elite-level decision-making skills. While his deep ball is not as great as it once was, he still has plenty of arm strength to make any throw on a football field.

Also, his rapport with Belichick and McDaniel certainly comes in to play here. Brady and Belichick are arguably the best coach and quarterback combination of all-time. Who could you possible trust more to lead our country into battle?

There will plenty who disagree with Brady being the Team USA quarterback selection, opting for a more physically gifted player like Rodgers or Newton. That being said, when taking everything into account, there is not a better guy to give the ball on an enormous spotlight than Tom Brady.
