Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 18 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Mark Trumbo, Orioles (5,000): Trumbo leads the majors with 28 home runs, and that total could grow following his matchup Monday with New York Yankees right-hander Ivan Nova (6-5, 5.18 ERA). Trumbo has dominated Nova in his career, going 10-for-19 with three home runs against him. Five outfielders are priced higher than Trumbo on Monday, making this feel like a solid deal.

Kris Bryant, Cubs (5,000): Don’t let the matchup with young New York Mets lefty Steven Matz (7-5, 3.38 ERA) worry you — Bryant homered off him earlier this month. Trumbo leads the majors with home runs, but the 24-year-old Bryant ranks second with 25 long balls. He’s emerged as a viable option every night in the Cubs’ potent offense, but that’s particularly true against left-handers.

High Value

Cameron Maybin, Tigers (3,700): Maybin has been steady, though not spectacular, over the last two weeks or so, hitting safely in five of his last six games. He’s only reached double digits in DK points twice in July, but Monday’s matchup presents a great chance for No. 3. Maybin will face Minnesota Twins righty Ricky Nolasco (4-7, 5.22 ERA), against whom he is 5-for-7 in his career.

Carlos Beltran, Yankees (3,200): There’s no denying that Beltran has been the Yankees’ most consistent player this season. He leads the team in home runs (19) and RBIs (58), and ranks second in average (.297), so it’s perhaps a bit surprising to see his price drop so low. The matchup with Baltimore Orioles righty Kevin Gausman (1-6, 4.15 ERA) is tough, but not worth avoiding at this discounted price.
