NBA and Twitter to form a streaming partnership.

The world of social media is apart of most people’s everyday lives. The sports world seems to be following suit and joining the rest.

The Pac-12 Networks have already announced a live streaming partnership with Twitter that will cover more than 150 live Pac-12 events.

The partnership of the Pac-12 Networks will begin in 2016-2017. The games will be streamed live to fans through Twitter, it was recently announced.

Now another sports entity seems to be following suit, though a much bigger one. The NBA is now expected to announce a live streaming partnership with Twitter and Periscope. The NBA seems to see the win-win scenario in this for both parties just as the Pac-12 does.

For the NBA’s sake, this is just another way for their ever-evolving association to grow and for Twitter it will be lucrative on their end as the NBA is one of the most popular major sports. According to The Outside Game, the announcement will come at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

This is just another way for the NBA’s game to grow, as now more NBA fans can get access to their favorite team’s game instead of simply watching them to on TV. Also, for the NBA fans who like to multi-task, they are able to go back and forth between scrolling through twitter and enjoying a great basketball game. This is another great move that Adam Silver has done since becoming NBA Commissioner in 2014, as this should be a long-lasting partnership.
