Speaker of the House Paul Ryan made the unfortunate choice to wave a Terrible Towel at a breakfast in Pennsylvania.

Paul Ryan is a Green Bay Packers fan. In an effort to win over the crowd at a breakfast in Pennsylvania, he decided to wave a Terrible Towel over his head. There’s just one problem. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the team associated with the Terrible Towel. Packers fans can’t be too happy about that act of heresy.

Ryan is currently the Speaker of the House, and represents the state of Wisconsin in the House of Representatives. Ryan was the Vice Presidential nominee during Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign in 2012, and eventually lost to Barrack Obama and Joe Biden.

While Ryan might be a Packers fan, he’s also a politician who cares a lot about public opinion. It’s likely that he cared more about making a good impression in Pennsylvania than he did about his Packers’ fandom. Still, that’s something that Packers fan aren’t going to be too happy about.
