Two Denzel Valentine buzzer-beaters win Bulls Summer League title (Video)

Denzel Valentine played hero for the Chicago Bulls, winning the Summer League title on Monday night with a pair of big-time buzzer-beaters

The Chicago Bulls have had an interesting offseason to say the least. It looked like they might be sellers early on in free agency and even leading up to the free agency period, but things turned on a dime and ultimately ended with them keeping Jimmy Butler and signing Dwyane Wade. While that has fans excited, those same fans have every good reason to be ready for rookie Denzel Valentine to make an impact as well.

Though it might not mean much all things considered, Valentine showed he can have an impact at NBA Summer League in the title game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.

Starting at the end of regulation, Tyus Jones put the Wolves up by three points. With time winding down, Denzel Valentine got the ball in his hands on the left wing, though, and buried the deep three to force overtime:

The Michigan State product wasn’t done doing it big, though. As the Bulls and Timberwolves were still tied late in overtime, Valentine went to work trying to get a good look. With no time left, he finally found that look and put up a high-arching jumper. Buckets:

Those two buzzer-beaters from Denzel Valentine won the Bulls the Summer League Championship. That’s not a bad way for him or the team to end a week and a half out in the desert.
