Results and full highlights from Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins in the main event of WWE Monday Night Raw.

With WWE Battleground looming on Sunday, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins met in Providence on Monday night, with the WWE Championship on the line in the main event of Monday Night Raw. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryant along with Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley sat at ringside to watch the superstars they could be bringing to their brands in the draft on Tuesday night.

Right away, the two competitors locked up and began to get a feel for the other. Rollins went on the attack early against Ambrose, as he delivered some vicious shots to him in the corner.

Ambrose would return the favor by sending Rollins over the top rope and the two began brawling on the outside immediately. Ambrose tried to keep the pace going while Rollins tried to slow it down, which allowed Ambrose to get the better of him.

Ambrose would shortly after deliver a perfect fisherman’s suplex to Rollins.

Rollins would start to pick up the intensity and delivered a powerful right hand to Ambrose. As Rollins turned his attention away, Ambrose would attempt a quick roll-up pin, but couldn’t pull off the three count.

Ambrose would become unhinged and would start unloading on Rollins even more. Both men would then trade counters back-and-forth with each other and the two looked spent in the ring, as they each tried to repeatedly put each other away.

Ambrose wouldn’t wait for Rollins to get back in the ring and once again the two started fighting outside the ring again. Missing a clothesline, Ambrose would land on the barricade, after Rollins launched him right into it.

Rollins throwing Ambrose back in the ring, would execute a splash from the top rope. Attempting the pin for the championship, Ambrose just managed to kick out at two.

A vicious forearm and a big boot gave Rollins the advantage, but the two began to trade chops with each other. Ambrose would hit the Dirty Deeds, but Rollins got his leg up on the bottom rope to avoid losing.

Rollins would roll outside to the floor to get away from Ambrose. Putting Rollins on the table, Ambrose would attempt to leap off the barricade, but Rollins rolled off.

The two would proceed to fight on the ring apron with each other, but Rollins would catch Ambrose with a pedigree after a misguided jump off the top rope. Somehow Ambrose had enough to kick out.

The two would exchange strikes and Ambrose headed for the top rope. Rollins met him up there and a superplex led to a double pin and everyone wondering what happened. The ref, who had just been knocked out counted three, but no one knew who won.

Both RAW and Smackdown’s commissioners and general managers argued about who the winner really was.

McMahon would grab a mic and proclaim Rollins champion and hand him the belt, despite his shoulders being down for the count as well.

After RAW went off the air, the match went to replay and Dean Ambrose was declared champion heading into Battleground.

So it appears that Ambrose is still the champion, despite RAW’s best attempt to get the belt on Rollins. The draft tomorrow night should be interesting to say the least.
