WWE RAW results live tracker for the July 18 episode from Providence, RI

The go-home episode of WWE RAW heading into any pay-per-view is always a show with a bit of importance as it’s a show where superstars can hammer home the final stages of a feud before a big match or other things of that sort. However, the July 18 episode of WWE RAW from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI is the go-home show to Battleground and there is more anticipation than normal considering everything set to happen and surrounding the show.

Obviously the big thing that’s looming over the company and subsequently over WWE RAW is the WWE Draft set to take place on Tuesday, July 19 as Smackdown moves to a live broadcast. The fact that the rosters are going to be split with the brands is an enormous deal and something everyone has on their minds.

Perhaps just as big, though, is the fact that Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are set to meet in the main event on WWE RAW in a match for the WWE Championship. As they lead to a triple threat at Battleground that will also include the suspended Roman Reigns, you’d normally expect a screwy finish on Monday night. With the company wanting to stir up excitement for the brand split, though, we could see something crazy go down in Providence.

What’s more is that there are numerous other major feuds that you have to keep an eye on for WWE RAW with the likes of AJ Styles and John Cena—with the help of The Club and Enzo and Cass—still going at one another, the same of which can be said for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Then to top all of this off, Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon and RAW commissioner Stephanie McMahon will make their picks for the general managers of their respective shows on WWE RAW on Monday night as well.

While you never want to miss too much, you won’t want to miss any of the July 18 episode of WWE RAW and you don’t have to as we’ll be live tracking the WWE RAW results below once the show starts at 8 p.m. ET.

New General Managers

As promised, WWE RAW started off with Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon coming out to announce who would be the general managers of the shows they’re the respective commissioners of.

Before that, though, Steph dropped a bombshell in saying that WWE is launching a Cruiserweight division exclusive to WWE RAW:

After that awesome news, Steph then announced that Mick Foley would be the RAW GM:

Foley came out and said some nice words about his new position, but then it was Shane’s turn. He then blew the roof off of the Dunkin Donuts Center as he announced that Daniel Bryan is the Smackdown general manager:

Bryan then pandered to the crowd to thunderous cheers, reminiscing about his run in WWE, beating Triple H and so on. In essence, he was setting up an even more wonderful face-heel dynamic between himself and Steph.

Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn and Cesaro

In a match largely to leave fans wanting more from Owens and Zayn, these four guys went out and absolutely killed it in the ring. Cesaro got to show off his power, Owens got to continue looking great, and Zayn unsurprisingly played the perfect underdog:

In the end, Zayn got the roll-up on Jericho for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Sami Zayn and Cesaro

Backstage, Stephanie and Daniel Bryan had a bit of a heated interaction. Go figure.

Darren Young vs Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio worked a bunch of submissions early in this match as The Miz was on commentary. However, Darren Young mustered up a comeback and the rolled up ADR into a bridge to pick up the win:

Winner: Darren Young

#BeatUpJohnCena

John Cena was out first to get the crowd going early before he brought out Enzo and Cass. What then ensued was actually a heated promo from Enzo before a delightful exchange where Cena essentially didn’t get the gimmick of Enzo and Cass.

Then The Club came out to try and run them down before the New Day came out not long after to respond. They too were hilarious, including some topical Pokemon Go jokes from Xavier Woods:

Obviously they were hyped, but were brought back to Earth when The Wyatt Family came out to set up the match.

12-Man Tag Team Match

Quite frankly, this match was long and wild and really too much happened even with the time that they were given. That being said, it did serve it’s purpose to make tension appear between Cena and his tag partners in addition to the feuds themselves.

In the end, though, Enzo accidentally took out Cena and then ate a Styles Clash to give the heels the win.

Winners: The Club and The Wyatt Family

There was then an awesome video package for Seth Rollins leading to Sunday’s triple threat match.

Baron Corbin vs Sin Cara

This match lasted roughly 20 seconds and the post-match stuff filled the rest of the one minute they were allotted. Corbin won via squash and then took out Kalisto as well.

Winner: Baron Corbin

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke

There was some decent work in this match before things got all wonky. Natalya came out to the ring to take out Becky Lynch, thus ruining the match and setting Charlotte and Dana up to get the win.

Winners: Charlotte and Dana Brooke

Rusev and Sheamus vs Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder

Rusev and Sheamus dominated much of this match until it looked like the faces might be able to get the upper hand. However, it wasn’t meant to be as Ziggler ate a kick and then was submitted in The Accolade by the US champ.

Winners: Rusev and Sheamus

WWE Championship Match: Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins

Should we be surprised that these two men tore it up? Absolutely not—but that’s what they did in  Providence and it was awesome.

The conclusion of the match came after a superplex when Rollins tried to get a tight cradle in. However, his shoulders were down too as the ref counted. Seth was initially named the winner, but that was then changed to Dean Ambrose.

We probably won’t have any resolution until Smackdown Live, honestly. Nonetheless, that was the end of the show, controversy in the air.

Winner: Who Knows
