A video from China shows an iPhone 7 model that does not have a headphone jack.

While it has been rumored for a long time, nobody actually thought that the new iPhone 7 would actually come without a headphone jack. That’s a key component of smartphones, and people use it all the time to take calls, listen to music, and play games without disturbing others.

But someone from China actually owns the iPhone 7 already, and posted a video comparing it to the 6S. The user posted it to Weibo since YouTube is blocked in China, but someone was kind enough to grab it and share it on the website. Even though it’s narrated in Chinese, it’s the visuals that matter here. While the iPhone 7 is comparatively similar in size, it has a larger camera. But as some people suspected all along, it is missing a headphone jack:

Even though Apple’s customers are fiercely loyal, this could definitely be a deal breaker. Are people supposed to walk around playing their music in front of everyone now? When it was initially brought up in social media circles, people were so against it that some considered switching to Android:

Then again, since the iPhone 7 hasn’t been released yet in North America, it’s possible that it could just be a test model, and that the official product will have the headphone jack. But at the moment, this doesn’t bode well.
