FanSided is stepping up its coverage of MMA by launching the “Extra Rounds Podcast.”
FanSided’s coverage of mixed martial arts, namely promotions like the UFC and Bellator, is growing each and every day thanks to the hard work of the writers on the staff. To build upon the foundation that they’ve laid, FanSided is trying to take the next step by launching the “Extra Rounds Podcast.”
The launch date for the podcast is Monday, July 25th at 2 p.m. CT. This follows an exciting weekend packed with an event from both Bellator and the UFC. The 2 p.m. CT time slot is where the podcast plans to live.
The podcast will be co-hosted by FanSided.com’s managing editor Mike Dyce, who also writes about MMA for Sports Illustrated, and Elias Cepeda, who most recently covered the UFC for Fox Sports. The two men bring a wealth of experience from covering the sport, including interviewing fighters year round.
The immediate rollout plan is to record and launch on iTunes and Google Play. Audio will be made available live immediately, with a live video component to come later.
