After the Notre Dame Fighting Irish appeared on Showtime’s “A Season With” in 2015, the Florida State Seminoles are next in line to be featured on a weekly basis for this coming college football season.

During the 2015 college football season, Notre Dame was the subject of a weekly program on Showtime titled, “A Season With Notre Dame Football”.

For 2016, Showtime will be talking about the ‘Noles; the Florida State Seminoles.

The show will air on Tuesdays, and despite the official word (that’s set to come on Tuesday afternoon), all signs are pointing to Florida State being the featured program.

(Hint: Florida State calls Tallahassee home on game days and Tallahassee is the official capitol of the state of Florida.)

Here’s a short breakdown from the official “A Season With” website and what to except with the programming:

"From the classroom to the locker room to the kick-off each week, A Season With transports viewers behind-the-scenes, beyond the field and into the lives of these student athletes as they compete throughout the season. Go deep inside the world of a Division One college football program and follow the players and coaches as their respective season long journeys unfold."

Last season’s bid to return to the College Football Playoff for Florida State ended on one of the craziest finishes of the season in a 22-16 loss to Georgia Tech on Oct. 24.

The Seminoles would lose one more on Nov. 7 against top-ranked Clemson on the road, but still finished the regular season at 10-2 and earned a berth in the Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl against C-USA champion Houston New Year’s Eve.

With Florida State’s rise back to prominence in recent years — including a win the final title game of the BCS era — this should make for some interesting television in the fall months.
