The fourth call-up from NXT in the WWE Draft was another women’s competitor in Alexa Bliss who was selected with pick No. 47 by Smackdown

On the Sunday before the WWE Draft on Tuesday’s first live episode of WWE Smackdown, the rules for said WWE Draft were revealed. Among those rules was the note that there would be six picks made from the NXT roster, which obviously fueled the speculation as to which stars would essentially be getting the big call-up from the developmental brand to take part in the main roster brand split.

Some names were more obvious like Finn Balor and American Alpha being selected. However, seeing Nia Jax being the first woman from NXT was a big surprise, the same of which can be said of the second woman from NXT selected.

With the No. 47 overall pick in the WWE Draft, Smackdown selected Alexa Bliss to the new live branding of the “Blue Show:”

Anyone who watches NXT certainly sees this as an answer to some recent burning questions. Alexa Bliss was recently taken away from Blake and Murphy as their valet (mercifully) which made many people wonder what was next for her.

It turns out that the WWE Draft was what was next.

Bliss is a tremendously talented and improved wrestler who has obvious personality and appeal as a heel. She’ll be great on the Smackdown roster and can put on some great matches going forward.
