Major League Baseball has a light night tonight since there are several games scheduled for this afternoon.  The “Main” competition on Fanduel for today features the seven games under the lights tonight with most of the action taking place early.  To see who I think you should check out from the 14 teams in action tonight, scroll through my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides.

Most of the games tonight are on the East Coast with five games starting shortly after 7:00. The Pirates host the Brewers, the Nats host the Dodgers, the Yankees look to take their third straight from the Orioles, and the Marlins play the Phillies all at 7:05. At 7:10, Drew Pomeranz makes his debut with the Red Sox against a familiar foe as he faces the visiting Giants at Fenway.  In the Midwest game of the night, the Padres and Cardinals finish up their double-header at 8:15 followed by the final game of the night as the Angels take on the Rangers at 10:05 in LA.

With a those 14 teams making up a solid pool of options for tonight, there lots of different ways to build your team. The goal of my FanDuel daily picks (which you can find here almost every morning here at FanSided) is to provide you the information you need to select the best of those options to build your own lineup that can bring home a win.  In order to help you find the position and price-point that you need, there are a variety of options on each slide with high-salary options, mid-range options, and high-value options at each position.

More from Baltimore Orioles

For starting pitchers and outfielders, I’ve separated my picks into high-salary and high-value options on separate slides while the other positions each get one slide per position with multiple pricing options. I base each of my picks on the current form of each player and the matchups each player will face in tonight’s contest game.

I’ve found it very helpful to rank my picks to show the strength of each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a points-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the my most confident picks into my lineups for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

In my FanDuel daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy baseball hub.
