In a new video game demo, free agent J.R. Smith fights the greatest threat to all of mankind – shirts.

J.R. Smith celebrated his NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in perhaps the most appropriate way. During the championship parade, Smith was seen walking around without a shirt taking pictures with fans. Only the ESPYs forced Smith to put on a shirt, and even then, he likely wasn’t too happy about it.

A recent parody video on Vimeo has Smith taking on shirts, Barrack Obama, and NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Summer of J.R.: J.R. Smith vs. T-Shirts from The Ringer on Vimeo.

Some excellent graphic work was done for this video. It perfectly resembles the old school side scrolling arcade games that everybody grew up loving. And of course, it features Smith shirtless and fighting shirts. He fights the commissioner, a bunch of lawyers, people trying to throw shirts onto him, Benny the Bull, and eventually Obama.

The video game parody ends with the ghost of Abraham Lincoln declaring Smith to be the President of the United States after beating Obama’s favorite mascot (Benny). Smith’s war against wearing shirts deserves a video game and this one delivers.
