DraftKings MLB: Top Bargain plays for July 21st

Finding value can be the ever so elusive, “Holy Grail.” Making cap room for pitchers and big bats can make all the difference in a lineup. With a little elbow grease in the research department, I’m hoping to provide a handful of players that could provide critical salary relief for tonight’s DraftKings MLB slate.

Tonight’s 7:00 PM slate is a fairly smaller one, featuring seven games. Even with the smaller slate, I was able to identify some cheap options if you’re looking for pay up for the Coors Field bats.

Sandy Leon – BOS (C) – $3000

With the second highest projected team runs, the Sox’s catcher could provide tremendous upside for the cheap price.

John Jaso – PIT (1B) – $3100

Jaso has a .338 wOBA split, bats first, and has a team projected run total of 5.2 runs.

David Freese – PIT (1B/3B) – $3100

Even facing a righty, Freese is a solid option that has dual position eligibility. His splits against righties aren’t as drastic as you may think and with a high team total, he should be in consideration tonight.

Adam Frazier – PIT (OF/SS) – $3200

If you haven’t gotten the hint yet, I like the cheap prices on the PIT batters tonight. Frazier can be used in an outfield spot or at short stop and has a favorable match up as a lefty vs. a righty.

Greg Garcia – STL (2B/3B) – $3200

St. Louis has another relatively high team total of 5.1 runs and if Garcia is leading off for the Cards, he should warrant consideration in many different contests.
