Nintendo releases nostalgic ad for NES Classic Edition (Video)

Nintendo has released a retro NES Classic Edition ad on their official YouTube channel that will channel the inner childhood of those who grew up playing these classics back in the 80s.

Last week, Nintendo officially unveiled the new NES, a mini version of the original console that released back in 1983, known as the NES Classic Edition. This is fantastic news for those who grew up playing Nintendo’s first home console. Not only will players be able to play with the original NES controller, but the console will also come with 30 classic games already built in. The best part, you can get all of this for just $60, which is an absolute steal at that price.

Now, Nintendo has officially released an ad on their YouTube channel promoting the return of the NES.

The new ad pays homage to the 80s with a retro style. The aesthetics, such as the colors, the music and so on really make you feel like you’re watching a commercial from the 80s, which is great. The ad also showcases the new console and some of the games that you’ll be able to play once it launches in November.

Some of the classic games that will be built in with the new NES are Super Mario Bros., Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda and so on. These are some of the best games of all time and they’re single-handedly responsible for shaping the video game industry. It’s great that some players will be able to return to these games they love, but it’s also a great opportunity for new players to try out the games that started it all.

The mini NES Classic Edition will launch later this year on November 11, 2016.
