The Pittsburgh Steelers are still one of the top five Super Bowl favorites
The Le’Veon Bell suspension is devastating, there is no way around that. The Steelers came into the off-season with hopes of having the far and away best offense in the NFL. They talked about averaging 30 points per game, and every individual record was on the table to be broken.
Then came the marijuana issues. First there was Martavis Bryant, who failed and missed multiple tests before being suspended for the entire 2016 season. Now to add on top of that is the news that Bell will miss four games as well for the same reasons. It is tough to name ten wide receivers better than Bryant, and even harder to name five active running backs with more talent than Bell.
To any team this would be a major blow. To most teams, this ends your season. The Steelers are in a bit of a different place. They came into this season as a clear-cut top five team when looking at Super Bowl favorites. Therefore, while this news is devastating, it does not completely write off the Steelers season.
With Bell and Bryant out, it still leaves the Steelers with their two best offensive players, Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown. The roster is still not bad on paper, and it should be noted that as tough as this Bell suspension is to swallow for Steelers fans, this team is still one of the top teams when it comes to winning the Super Bowl this season.
With that here are the five reasons why the Steelers Super Bowl hopes are not ruined yet
Next: 5. They almost won a Super Bowl without Bell last season
