With the 2016 Summer Olympics here, many spectators around the world will be wondering about the “fastest man alive.” So how many Olympics medals has Usain Bolt won so far?

The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will mark the final appearance at the games for the athlete dubbed the “fastest man alive.” Usain Bolt will be competing in his last edition of the athletic competitions and will look to go on top with several more medals. So how many Olympic medals has Usain Bolt won so far?

Heading into the Rio Olympics this summer, Bolt has accumulated a total of six medals at the games. All of these medals are of the gold variety. Bolt won three of them at Beijing in 2008 and then three more at the London Olympics in 2012.

Bolt won all of his gold medals in the same three events at both Olympics. He took home the 100-meter men’s, 200m men’s and 4x100m relay men’s medals in both editions of the summer games.

He’ll try to add another three to his total at the Rio 2016 Olympics which begin on Aug. 5 with the opening ceremony. Bolt will be representing Jamaica in the same three men’s track and field events as his previous two Olympics appearances, so watch for him to go out on top in his final appearance.
