Here are five moves the Baltimore Orioles should make in order to make a playoff run as they try to win their first World Series since 1983.

The Baltimore Orioles find themselves in the midst of another playoff race. They have a strong chance of winning the American League East division for the second time since 2014 and making their three playoff appearance since 2012. However, if they want to win their first World Series since 1983, they have some work to do at the trade deadline.

While their lineup has been excellent, to say the least, they could stand some bench upgrades in case they have an injury or two. Specifically, they could use some middle infield help, as Ryan Flaherty is all glove but no bat. They could also explore a better backup catcher option than Caleb Joseph, who has been terrible at the plate.

Their primary goal at the trade deadline is to upgrade their pitching. The bullpen needs a lefty specialist since closer Zach Britton is the only strong left-handed option. They need someone who can get guys like David Ortiz and Robinson Cano out in the playoffs. Their biggest need, however, is their rotation.

Here are five moves that the Orioles should make at the 2016 trade deadline.
