When Green Bay Packers training camp kicks off this week, they will be without wide receiver Jordy Nelson.
At least to start training camp, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be without his favorite target, Jordy Nelson. Nelson, who missed all of the 2015 season after tearing his ACL, will be brought along slowly during camp.

ESPN NFL Nation Packers reporter, Rob Demovsky tweeted out those Packers starting training camp on the physically unable to perform list on Monday, and Nelson was the biggest name.

The 31-year old Nelson had a breakout season in 2014, when he set the Packers’ single-season record for receiving yards in a season (1,519). Named to his first Pro Bowl that season, Nelson had his best game of his career in Week 2, as he racked up 209 receiving yards against the New York Jets.
Nelson injured his knee in Week 2 of the 2015 preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers, catching an eight-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers before falling to the turf without contact. An MRI would show a torn ACL, and Nelson would miss the entire season.
In his career, Nelson had gone over 1,000 yards receiving in a season three times, and prior to his injury in 2015, had played in 16 games in both 2013 and 2014.
Nelson played in integral part in the Packers Super Bowl XLV Championship, catching a 29-yard touchdown from Rodgers to open up the scoring. In the game, Nelson led all receivers with nine catches and 140 yards.
The Packers are pretty stacked at the wide receiver position even without Nelson, as their current roster boasts Randall Cobb, Jeff Janis, and Davante Adams. Green Bay should be in contention once again in 2016, but getting a healthy Nelson back will only make them that much better.
