With Junior Galette out for the season with an injury, could the Washington Redskins turn to former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy?

The Washington Redskins signed Junior Galette believing that he could be the dynamic pass rusher that their defense has long lacked. Unfortunately, due to injuries, that has not been the case. With Galette out for the season once again in 2016, the Redskins are exploring options to replace them. One of them is Greg Hardy.
#Redskins internal discussions about how to replace Junior Galette have included Greg Hardy, per sources. Josh Norman would advocate for him

Hardy would be a very unwise decision for the Redskins. Even though Hardy can still be an extremely productive player and disruptive force on defense (six sacks in 12 games with the Cowboys last season), his off the field baggage far outweighs anything that he could bring to the table on the field.
Not only was Hardy initially convicted of abusing his at the time girlfriend in 2014, he all but weaseled his way out of it. He didn’t get off because he was innocent. Hardy wound up having the charges dropped because he appealed the case, wanting a jury trial. He reportedly reached a settlement with the victim, but what’s important is that the victim did not want to testify again. Due to a lack of evidence without the victim, the charges would be dropped.
Sure, the Redskins need to explore options if they want to replace what Galette can do when healthy. But they should stay far away from Hardy. The backlash and negative PR that he would bring would far outweigh anything he could do on the field.
