You honestly shouldn’t need five individual reasons, but here are five regardless.
Recent reports have linked “controversial” and “embattled” Greg Hardy to Washington. It’s a match made in purgatory, one of the worst people in the entire NFL is joining one of the most controversial franchises in recent history.
Washington has come under fire for insisting that the name of their team is totally not racist in any way shape or form and well, actually, it’s a tribute to the heritage of the Native American. Greg Hardy needs no introduction, and has no defense. The former Cowboy has been looking for work after things predictably didn’t work out in Dallas.
Josh Norman, new cornerback for the Redskins, will reportedly lobby for Hardy if given the chance. Washington has been looking for a replacement for Junior Galette, and since there is apparently no other direction they could turn, no other one-year free agent, no other rookie that could get some needed playing time, they’re going to potentially settle for Greg Hardy.
The reasons that they might do this boggle the mind, they smack of desperation, there’s no real reason that any sane person could comprehend. You shouldn’t need 5 reasons why signing Greg Hardy is a bad idea. Here they are anyways.
Next: 5. Dwight Freeney is still an option
