Live tracker for the WWE Smackdown results for the July 26 episode from Buffalo, NY

WWE Smackdown is now officially a separate brand and the second live episode will take place on Tuesday, July 26 from Buffalo, NY. As if they weren’t already planning big things for the new live WWE Smackdown, things are going to get even crazier in the wake of WWE Battleground and in the build up to SummerSlam as well.

Dean Ambrose retained the WWE Championship at Battleground, meaning that the main title will have more history on WWE Smackdown than the new title announced for WWE RAW. Of course, the question coming into this first episode of WWE Smackdown to not include the draft.

The biggest question yet to be answered is who the next challenger for Ambrose will be. There are plenty of viable contenders, but it’ll be curious to see who ultimately gets that push from the WWE creative team.

Moreover, there are questions about what’s going to happen with Bray Wyatt now that the Family is split up and he has steam behind him. Could he be the challenger for Ambrose or are there other plans.

In addition, there is plenty of interest around the call-ups from NXT like American Alpha, Alexa Bliss, and many others. How are they going to factor into things on WWE Smackdown right out of the gate and what are their first respective feuds going to be.

With this switch to the live format for WWE Smackdown, you’ll need to be sure to catch everything as it happens. Luckily, we’ve got you covered as we’ll be live tracking the WWE Smackdown results down below once the show starts at 8 p.m. ET.

Who’s No. 1

To open up the show, the entire roster for WWE Smackdown was in the ring as Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan were out to announce how they’d decide the new No. 1 contender to face Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship.

They then announced that it’d be a Six Pack Challenge for the No. 1 contender spot and that the match would include John Cena, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Bray Wyatt, and AJ Styles. They then announced that the sixth entrant would be the winner of a battle royal.

That match would be up next.

Battle Royal for Sixth Entrant in Six Pack Challenge

The battle royal began as most of them do, with complete anarchy and chaos.

Kane was a one-man wrecking crew throughout the match and guys like Kalisto definitely had their moments. However, it was Apollo Crews that was ultimately able to flip out of a Kane chokeslam and send the Big Red Machine flying over the top rope and send himself into the Six Pack Challenge.

SHELTON BENJAMIN BACK (SOON)!

Shelton Benjamin is coming back to WWE and this is the greatest day of my life.

Natalya vs Becky Lynch

Running their match from Battleground back, these two women continued their feud, but this time Becky Lynch was able to come out on top this time around.

Winner: Becky Lynch

After the match, though, all of the women of Smackdown came out to announce their presence and make it known that they’re ready to compete.

Miz TV Featuring The Miz (and Randy Orton)

The Miz came out for his talk show and went with the heel move of having himself as his guest. While that was mildly entertaining, Randy Orton came out and was tired of hearing the A-Lister:

Both men threw barbs at the other until they finally came to a boiling point where Orton questioned Miz’s manhood in challenging him to a non-title match. Maryse became infuriated and accepted on Miz’s behalf.

Randy Orton vs The Miz

Despite the fact that Miz is the IC title holder, they made him ultimately look like a chump for most of this match as Randy Orton destroyed him.

Winner: Randy Orton

Heath Slater Gets Humiliated

Heath Slater was then out to the ring demanding to be signed after not being drafted. He was met by Shane O Mac, though, and then Rhyno showed up behind him. Shane then played coy with him until Heath turned around right into a Gore.

Heath Slater is still a free agent in pro wrestling.

Six Pack Challenge

This was an absolutely insane match featuring a ton of killer spots and great wrestling. Much like with what RAW did with Finn Balor, though, Smackdown definitely gave us a surprise.

In the end it was Dolph Ziggler scoring the pin to get the win and become the new No. 1 contender. Now he and Dean Ambrose will face off at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler
