Here are five reasons why the 2017 NFL Draft should not be held in Philadelphia. 

The NFL has announced that the 2017 NFL Draft will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While Philly is a decent location due to its size and its relative closeness to cities like New York and Chicago, it is far from an ideal location for the draft.

Why the NFL is bent on changing the location of the draft so much is baffling. Chicago was an excellent host of the 2015 and 2016 drafts. Ratings for the drafts in Chicago were sky-high and Chicago was a perfect fit for the primetime feel of the draft. New York has hosted it for so long and New York is perfect for the draft as well. Why change things up and go to Philadelphia?

The NFL could wind up regretting their decision to go to Philadelphia for the draft. It almost feels like the NFL didn’t want to go to New York or Chicago for whatever reason, so they chose Philadelphia despite it being at best their third option. Here are five reasons why the 2017 NFL Draft should not be held in Philadelphia and why the NFL could regret moving the draft to Philly.
