The Detroit Lions are heading in a new direction under general manager Bob Quinn, who has already made a ton of changes to the personnel on the roster in his short time in charge of the club.
However, head coach Jim Caldwell remains in the fold and he has to produce on the field this season or it is likely that Quinn is going to bring in someone that he believes can be the head coach that the Lions need.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford seemed to have success at the end of the season with Jim Bob Cooter at offensive coordinator and the Lions are hopeful that success will carry over into this season and they can get back in the playoffs.
With training camp set to begin at the team’s facilities on July 29, the Lions will have plenty of big rookies to work with, as the team heavily invested in the trenches in the draft.
With Taylor Decker coming in as the team’s top pick, he’s expected to come in and compete for a tackle spot immediately and begin shoring up the Lions’ offensive line.
There are a lot of moving parts right now for the team, but the sky is the limit with Quinn in charge.
