Sporting his famous khakis, with a personalized Cubs jersey tucked into them, Harbaugh brought his own mitt out to the pitchers mound for the toss. He fired a strike, drawing a loud ovation from the crowd. It was just another moment to add to the legend that is Jim Harbaugh.
This isn’t the first time Harbaugh has tossed out the first pitch before a Major League Baseball game. Last July, Harbaugh threw out the first pitch before a Detroit Tigers game, and just like on Wednesday, fired a strike.
Harbaugh is a legend in Michigan, after returning to his alma mater to coach the Wolverines. The Michigan Wolverines will open up their 2016 schedule at home against Hawaii on September 3, which will begin a string of five home games to start the season. Michigan will face Ohio State on November 26, in a game that could decide the East.
