Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 28 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Mookie Betts, Red Sox (5,500): Betts’ price tag trails only teammate David Ortiz’s (5,600) among all batters on Thursday’s DFS slate, but he’s still worth paying up for in an elite matchup with Los Angeles Angels right-hander Jered Weaver (8-8, 5.32 ERA). Weaver’s best days are behind him, and he’ll likely have a tough time slowing the Red Sox’s potent offense. Betts has reached double-digit DK points in five of his last six games. Start him with confidence.

Ryan Braun, Brewers (5,200): Braun has never faced Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Robbie Ray (5-9, 4.53 ERA), but he is hitting an impressive .361 against lefties this season. Braun has reached double-digit DK points in six of his last eight games. He stands out as a solid play at a minor savings compared to Betts.

High Value

Charlie Blackmon, Rockies (3,300): Blackmon is usually priced in the high 4,000s, if not the low 5,000s, so his current price tag represents great savings. Of course, a road matchup with New York Mets righty Jacob deGrom (6-5, 2.73 ERA) is no walk in the park. Blackmon is 0-for-8 against deGrom in his career, but he’s hitting .310 against righties this season. At this low price, he’s worth a look.

Mac Williamson, Giants (2,600): The 26-year-old Williamson has received extended playing time sine Hunter Pence landed on the disabled list, and he’s made the most of it. Williamson has reached double-digit DK points in three of his last five starts, and is hitting .275 against right-handers this season. The latter statistic bodes well for Thursday’s matchup with Washington Nationals righty Tanner Roark (9-6, 3.05 ERA).
