Identifying the top high salary and value second baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 28 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jean Segura, Diamondbacks (4,900): Segura enters play Thursday with a nine-game hitting streak, a stretch that also includes five games of double-digit DK points. Segura should continue to hit in the No. 3 spot with Jake Lamb nursing an injured hand. Segura has never faced his former teammate Zach Davies (7-4, 3.64), but he is hitting .327 against right-handers this season.

Dee Gordon, Marlins (4,500): Gordon will rejoin the Marlins on Thursday after completing his 80-game PED suspension. Expect Gordon to return to his normal position atop Miami’s order. The two-time All-Star was hitting just .266 with six stolen bases before his suspension, but he’s still an elite talent that should have extra motivation. He’s worth a look against St. Louis Cardinals righty Michael Wacha (5-7, 4.37 ERA).

High Value

Ben Zobrist, Cubs (2,900): Zobrist’s price tag is almost always in the mid-to-high 4,000s, but a matchup with left-handed ace Chris Sale (14-3, 3.18 ERA) will certainly help bring your price down. While others might be scared off by Sale, consider Zobrist’s career numbers against him: 6-for-11 with a double. That’s about as good as you’ll see against Sale. Zobrist is worth a roll of the dice.

Trea Turner, Nationals (2,700): Turner has been one of the Nationals’ best players of late, so it’s surprising to see his price dip this low, even with a tough matchup against Johnny Cueto (13-2, 2.53 ERA). Turner has reached double-digit DK points in seven of his last eight games and has hit safely in eight of his last nine overall. Turner is a great GPP play.
