Identifying the top high salary and value third baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your July 28 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Adrian Beltre, Rangers (4,400): It’s been an impressive week for Beltre, who has 10 hits over his last five games, a stretch that includes three home runs and two games of 20-plus DK points. Look for the 37-year-old Beltre to stay hot Thursday against Kansas City Royals right-hander Yordano Ventura (6-8, 4.99 ERA). Beltre is 5-for-12 with two doubles in his career against Ventura.

Miguel Sano, Twins (4,300): The 23-year-old Sano has eight hits over his last five games, but he’s only homered once over his last 13 games. He has an excellent chance to end that funk Thursday against Baltimore Orioles righty Ubaldo Jimenez (5-9, 7.38 ERA). Sano is 2-for-5 in his career against Jimenez, who enters play Thursday with a WHIP of 1.97. Minnesota hitters will likely be popular on the short slate, but Sano is tough to ignore.

High Value

Joey Gallo, Rangers (3,300): Well, that didn’t take long, did it? Texas’ young slugger homered in his return to the majors on Tuesday and figures to hit plenty more home runs before his career ends. He’s still best served as a GPP-only play, given his home run-or-bust nature, but on a short slate Thursday, he’s an interesting play against Ventura. Gallo also has outfield eligibility, which gives you some added roster flexibility.

Maikel Franco, Phillies (3,300): Franco has hit safely in five of his last seven games, though he’s only reached double-digit DK points once since July 15. Thursday’s matchup with Atlanta Braves right-hander Matt Wisler (4-10, 4.92 ERA) works in his favor, as Franco is 5-for-9 with two doubles and a home run against him.
