The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the favorites to win the AFC this season and have a great chance to get off to a good start with the talent on their roster.
Unfortunately, the Steelers are going to go into the season shorthanded without Martavis Bryant and Le’Veon Bell. Both of those players make up a huge part of what they are capable of doing on offense and not having them is a huge blow to the Steelers.
While Bryant is going to be out for the season, Bell is slated to miss the first four games after missing a drug test, which he claims he hasn’t missed, according to his Instagram.
However, there is a chance he might not have to miss any depending upon his appeal process. According to Mike Tomlin (via ProFootballTalk), Bell’s appeal process is expected to take place in mid-August.
If Bell wins his appeal or gets it reduced from four games, then it would be a big boost to the Steelers’ offense and they can have their star back lined up ready to go.
The good news is that they have a more than capable running back in DeAngelo Williams, who did an excellent job when Bell got hurt last season.
